How It All Works Together:

The Respirer^® + The Flo Perfect = Wisp Wine Aerator System

The First Dripless Hand Held Wine Aerator System

We start with the Respirer: When you pour your wine into the top of the Respirer wine aerator it flows into a conditioning device called the Vortex Impedance Control. This patent pending feature is located at the base of the reservoir where the wine is poured. It conditions the wine so that it doesn’t swirl (like a washbasin as it empties) and it ensures smooth flow through Respirer’s proprietary pressure chamber.

At this point the real work begins thanks to Daniel Bernoulli (1700 – 1782): Swiss mathematician, father of modern fluid dynamics and purported wine lover.  As the wine enters the pressure chamber, its downward flow increases due to gravity, which in turn creates a vacuum affect. This vacuum subsequently draws in air through the side air intake channel.

Now the wine and air mixture exit the pressure chamber and enter a diffuser section of the fluid tube. This rapid expansion “tugs” on the air bubbles causing them to want to expand, which makes for some exciting physical interactions.  While the bubbles are forced to expand they fracture and burst creating many smaller bubbles with much greater surface area for oxygenating the wine.

Finally the aerated wine flows out the bottom of the Respirer wine aerator and into your glass or decanter to be savored with the full smooth flavor that the vintners intended.

All this occurs in a blink of an eye over a distance no greater than you index finger. Pretty amazing isn’t it. We thought so, that’s why we engineered the Respirer wine aerator the way we did.

The Wisp is the first dripless hand held wine aerator system.  It combines both the Respirer and the Flo Perfect pouring spout.  The Flo Perfect sits in the mouth of the wine bottle and enables the wine to pour from the bottle at the same rate as the Respirer’s aeration process.  Overfilling the aerator bowl is a thing of the past when using the Flo Perfect. 

Flo Perfect’s most unique feature is that it acts as a nest in which to securely set your Respirer wine aerator immediately after use.  This pairing prevents any unsightly drips from the aerator and eliminates any need for a messy drip tray.
